The “Varano Digital Track” project is made possible thanks to European funds provided by the Emilia-Romagna Region.

SO.GE.S.A. S.r.l., the company that manages the Varano de’ Melegari Raceway, has implemented a digital transformation project aimed at improving organizational efficiency, the safety of track activities, and the quality of services offered to drivers, organizers, and customers.

Objectives

The project was launched with the goal of digitizing the racetrack’s operational workflow, from participant reservations and registration to the management of on-track events. The initiative aims to reduce manual tasks and the use of paper documentation, improve the traceability of operations, and make communications during events more timely and secure.

Completed Work

The project included:

• a backend system for managing registrations and reservations;
• an interface for entering manual reservations;
• the integration of digital signatures for waivers;
• a customer portal with authenticated access;
• functions for managing billing data;
• monitoring sales limits and the rules for publishing track schedules;
• the management of the pits and contracts with the organizers;
• the integration of meteorological data;
• dashboard e report relativi alle attività giornaliere, agli eventi e alle schede incidente;
• dashboards and reports related to daily activities, events, and incident reports;

Results

Varano Digital Track has made it possible to consolidate various functions—which were previously managed through separate or manual procedures—into a single integrated digital system. The new setup enables more organized management of registrations, reservations, and customer data; improved process traceability; more effective oversight of event activities; and greater access to operational and statistical data.

The integration of management tools, monitoring systems, and signaling devices also helps improve the timeliness of communications and the safety of on-track operations.
